La línea 32 en South Yorksire, Reino Unido, une las localidades de Sheffield y Rotherham con un servicio cada media hora, operado por First South Yorkshire, sucursal regional de uno de los grandes operadores británicos. La línea está servida por autobuses de un piso, como el Wrightbus de las fotos en Rotherham. Es precisamente en esta ciudad donde combina parte de su ruta con la 33 que se queda en el municipio. He encontrado este mapa, que me parece muy curioso...First, en la región de South Yorkshire, dispone de 600 autobuses, 2100 trabajadores y 4 garajes. El de Rotherham está en Midland Road, que es la sede de la región, y curiosamente, es el lugar donde se reparan todos los Routemasters que quedan en servicio en Londres (líneas 9 y 15).
Cada año, en esta región, 90 millones de pasajeros usan algún autobús del grupo First a lo largo de una red de más de 100 rutas que se extienden por Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, North East Derbyshire, el Peak District, East Riding of Yorkshire y North Nottinghamshire.
De este grupo, lo que llama la atención son sus colores corporativos, que se adoptaron en el año 2000. Coloquialmente, se le conoce como "Barbie". Un poco "moñas" sí que es...

The route is served by single deckers, like the Wrightbus in the pictures, in Rotherham. It is here, where it partly shares the route with 33 that stays within the municipality. He encontrado este blog a partir de tu perfil en el blog de transporte público de Zaragoza.Me parece una idea muy simpática y una manera muy original de viajar.Como no tengo carnet de conducir viajo mucho en transporte público,tardo más y me paso el día consultando horarios,pero aprendo mucho sobre la gente del lugar,especialmente si entiendo la lengua.Otra cosa que me encanta es que lo escribas en versión bilingüe.La próxima vez que vea un 32 en cualquier parte del mundo le hago una foto y te la mando;)
